This is a full-time on-site role located in Newark, NJ. The Paraprofessional will assist teachers in the classroom by supporting instruction, helping manage classroom behavior, providing one-on-one support to students, and preparing educational materials. Additionally, the Paraprofessional will help with administrative tasks, such as recording grades, maintaining student records, and supervising students during non-instructional times such as lunch or recess.
Qualifications
Classroom Support: Ability to assist teachers with instructional support and behavior management.
Administrative Skills: Proficient in recording grades, maintaining student records, and preparing educational materials.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
Student Supervision: Experience in supervising students during non-instructional times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in education or child development preferred.
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus
