Job Description
As a Goddard Lead Teacher in Pre-Kindergarten classroom, you will be responsible to do the following:
Develop fun and age appropriate lesson plans.
Meet the individual needs of the children
Be adept at setting up and implementing a center and classroom management system
Participate in staff and training meetings.
Design and set up an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
Follow and implement Handwriting Without Tears
Effectively use positive discipline to manage the classroom
Prepare and help children to be better equipped for Kindergarten academically and socially
Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00-6:00 (hours may vary)
BA in EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION or a related field is required.
