Skylands Testing, LLC is looking for a part time Geotechnical Laboratory Technician(s). Responsibilities include: testing soils in accordance with established standards, documenting results in a clear manner, communicating with other staff and project managers, sample management. Workload varies by client needs but is expected to require a min. of 15-25 hours per week. Flexible schedule, weekend work possible.
No experience necessary, will train. Basic qualifications: H.S. diploma/GED or higher, ability to think analytically, ability to understand directions, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner, able to stand throughout a 3-6 hr. shift, able to lift 40 lb. occasionally.
Preferred qualifications: working towards an engineering or earth sciences degree/career, Microsoft excel experience, previous geotechnical laboratory experience.
Starting Salary: $20/hr. + based on experience
