Hudson Engineering is looking to hire Civil Engineer with a focus on the Structural and/or Geotechnical disciplines to assist with design work associated with various types of projects in our Hudson County Office. Hudson Engineering pursues a wide variety of projects including residential upgrades, structural building designs, commercial designs, warehouse retrofitting projects, deep foundation projects, underpinning projects, flood resiliency, waterfront structures, government work, site civil development and more. Though the majority of our work is centered around the Structural and Geotechnical disciplines, we offer all Civil Engineering services to ensure a diversified work portfolio.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Works directly under a Licensed Professional Engineer to further develop understanding of engineering concepts, designs, and real-world engineering applications.

Work toward career advancement through pursuit of EIT and PE licenses, and involvement in professional organizations and/or higher learning.

Builds analytic and design skills.

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Responsible for designing structural components, report writing, development of plans, specifications, estimates, quality control, and assurance activities.

Quickly learn and apply technical mathematical concepts and engineering design skills, helping others learn them as well.

Performs field inspections of project & construction sites.

Perform other Engineering duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized degree/diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferably a Masters degree in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering

0-3 years of experience relatable Engineering work

Ability to conduct field work in large and complex sites

Ability to travel out of state to Project Sites

Ability to understand project scopes, budgets, deliverables, and schedules
