Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced baker with expertise in a wide range of baked goods, including bread, donuts, cakes, and various pastries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a creative flair, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Caribbean baking is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, donuts, cakes, and pastries.
Ensure the quality and consistency of all baked products.
Follow and create recipes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Decorate cakes and pastries to meet customer specifications.
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control of baking ingredients.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a baker, with expertise in bread, donuts, cakes, and pastries.
Knowledge of baking techniques and trends.
Creativity and artistic skills for cake decorating.
Ability to work early morning shifts and flexible hours.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Caribbean baking is a plus but not required.
