Bakery Assistant / Kitchen Staff needed to make cakes, cookies and more pastries starting at $18 per hour! We will train you to be the best baker. This particular job will entail baking, packaging baked goods, cleaning after and during shifts, working will a team leader and various task that will be accomplished throughout the day.
As a BAKERY HELPER / KITCHEN STAFF in POSH POP BAKESHOP, you'll contribute to the success of Posh Pop by baking cookies, brownies, bars, cake and so much more. Baking experience not need but you are required to have at least one year experience working in a food environment. This location at 55 Eagle Rock Avenue, East Hanover, NJ, 07936 is our “COMMISSARY” were the bulk of our baking for our New York City store will be accomplished.
Must have own transportation (vehicle)! There is no public transport available!
Pay: $18-$20 per hour
Days of work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Hours: 9am to 7pm
Responsibilities:
Act as an advocate for the company and embody POSH POP culture.
Retain and demonstrate proper procedures delivered by enthusiastic managers.
Use proper techniques for mixing, pouring, and storing batters and icings.
Help wash dishes, bake and cool as needed.
Prepare batters and icings to send to other bakeries when appropriate.
Maintain a steady pace throughout your shift to ensure completion of tasks on time.
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with all housekeeping tasks as outlined in opening, closing, daily and/or weekly checklists.
Accept shipments and packages.
Report to work as scheduled and meet the requirements for the length of the shift.
Requirements:
Minimum One year of experience working in a kitchen or baking environment
Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions from management.
Maintain a steady pace throughout the shift.
