The Wanderer is a neighborhood bar in McGinley Square, Jersey City, next to The Beacon. We’re known for well-made cocktails, a relaxed but intentional atmosphere, and a strong local crowd. Food is served from our sister concepts, Cafe Alyce (scratch-made global comfort food) and One World Pizza next door.
We take pride in consistency, hospitality, and running a clean, organized bar.
We’re looking to add an experienced bartender to our team for a part-time role with three consistent shifts per week.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing position. Bartenders at The Wanderer are comfortable running the bar independently, engaging with guests, staying ahead of service, and keeping the space clean and dialed in throughout the shift. If you take pride in how a bar looks, feels, and runs, you’ll fit in well here.
REQUIREMENTS
Bartending experience required
Strong guest service and communication skills
Clean, organized, and reliable
Comfortable handling service independently
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide efficient, high-quality bar service
Prepare cocktails according to house recipes
Solid classic cocktail knowledge
Maintain a clean, organized bar throughout service
Handle cash and POS accurately
Support the overall guest experience
