High Volume Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in New Providence is seeking a Sous Chef.
Requirements
-5-6 days/week depending on season and demand. Restaurant is open 10am-9pm. Schedule will be coordinated with Head Chef.
-Experience in Italian Saute with an eagerness to learn and abide by our recipes and procedures.
-Proven track record in the restaurant business with ability to supply references up request.
Responsibilities
-Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
-Oversee other stations: Salad/Sandwich, Grill, Fryer, Prep. Be able to hop in as needed.
-Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
-Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
-Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
-Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
