Job Title: Cashier / Line Cook
Location: Efi's Gyro, Montclair, NJ
Starting Pay: $17 per hour + Tips
Hours: Monday through Friday 3pm-9pm Saturday 5pm-9pm

Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Cashier. You will be responsible for both handling customer transactions at the register and assisting in food preparation on the line. The ideal candidate will have experience in both food handling and cashiering, and be able to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cashier Duties:
Greet customers warmly and take orders at the cash register.
Accurately process payments (cash, credit/debit cards).
Answer customer questions regarding menu items and provide recommendations when needed.
Ensure accurate change is given and receipts are provided.
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the cash register and counter.
Double-check orders to ensure accuracy before serving to customers.
Ensure all food is well-presented, and prepared according to health and safety standards.
Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleaning practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, keeping stations tidy and safe.
Requirements:
Must have work authorization in the U.S.
Must be fluent in English (both speaking and understanding).
Previous experience as a cashier is required.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
Must be punctual, dependable, and a team player.
