Salt and Butter We are looking for a strong, experienced, and versatile Kitchen Assistant who can confidently handle every section of a professional kitchen. This is not an entry-level role – we need someone who already knows how to cook properly, works clean, stays organized, and performs at a high level as part of a professional brigade.
You must have real, hands-on experience in ALL of the following:
Full cooking skills across hot line sections (grill, sauté, fryers, pasta, etc.)
Pizza making from scratch: dough preparation, stretching, topping, and firing pizzas to perfection
Fresh salad production: washing, cutting, seasoning, dressing, and presentation
Professional plating with excellent speed, consistency, and eye for detail
Maintaining a spotless workstation throughout service (clean-as-you-go mentality)
Deep cleaning and end-of-shift kitchen organization
Stock rotation, labeling, and proper storage (fridge, dry store, freezer)
Receiving and checking deliveries
Working calmly and communicating clearly during busy rushes
Being a reliable, positive, and professional team player at all times
Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years proven experience in busy professional kitchens
Able to jump on any section without hand-holding: hot line, pizza, salad, or prep
Fast, clean, and organized under pressure
Strong team player with excellent communication and respect for the brigade
Full understanding of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards
Physically fit – able to handle long hours on your feet and lift heavy items
Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
