Kitchen Manager/ Sous Chef

Our locations require experienced applicants who are passionate about the service industry, and energetic with an outgoing personality that are able to lead while working together with the team.

We are searching for a full time Kitchen Manager/Chef to help run the back of house operation at our high volume restaurant/bar in Hoboken. Leadership ability, including training and building a core BOH team, is key. Applicants must have a level of back of house managerial experience already.

POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Full-time / 45-50 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of BOH Management experience

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Atmosphere: Dining in a casual and energetic cocktail bar atmosphere

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Culinary Operation

- Ordering and inventory

- Preparation and production, increase order timing & communication with service staff

- Create ingredient lists, build methods and order guides

- Train and educate all team members.

-Building menu's and understanding how to control food cost.

-Managing schedules for all BOH departments and meeting labor goals.

Staff Management

- Staffing and scheduling

- Hiring, training, and coaching

- Development and maintenance of employee training manuals

- Staff training program

- Daily pre-shift meetings

- Continual staff evaluations and feedback on performance

Maintenance / Repairs / DOH

-Understanding of Health Department standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.

-Ability to address BOH Repair and Maintenance issues with management team
