About Us:
Made in Miami Bar & Bistro is a vibrant Hispanic/Latino-inspired restaurant & lounge known for our flavorful dishes, lively atmosphere, and commitment to excellent service. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion controls, and quality standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Assist with inventory, receiving, and storing of products
Communicate clearly and work efficiently with the rest of the kitchen team and FOH staff
Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred (but willing to train motivated candidates)
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Food handler’s certification (preferred)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
