Now hiring an experienced Senior Cook to produce and oversee food production for a small onsite cafeteria as well as onsite catering. The role will supervise a small kitchen staff, perform inventory, and support the Operations Manager with administrative back-of-the-house responsibilities. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday (no weekends!) from 5:30am - 3:00pm. The range for the role is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Please note: This role will require successfully passing drug (including cannabis) and background screening.
The ideal candidate is dependable with strong attention to detail and a passion for food. They have experience leading or supervising employees, can read and follow recipes and production sheets for commercial food preparation. Experience performing product inventory is helpful.
Qualified applicants will have the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 4 years of experience cooking in a commercial or industrial foodservice (short order or prep cook experience by itself is not sufficient.
Experienced with common cooking/food preparation techniques, and food safety requirements. ServSafe Certification is a plus. Proficient with technology, able to access and use email, as well as basic experience using Microsoft (or similar) office applications (Word and Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team oriented. Must be reliable, with good attendance, self-motivated, well organized, able to prioritize tasks, self-manage daily workload and coordinate a small kitchen operation. other assignments or projects with minimal supervision
