Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and management
Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality presentation
Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient team environment
Maintain consistency in food quality and standards, adhering to all recipes and guidelines
Collaborate in menu development, seasonal changes, and special events
Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of supplies, ensuring proper stock levels
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
Manage food costs and help control waste, ensuring profitability in a high-volume environment
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a waterfront or destination restaurant setting
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Expertise in various cooking techniques and a passion for creative, high-quality dishes
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and team-building skills
Food handler certification (required)
