Sous Chef Position

Becca Mediterranean is seeking a skilled, disciplined, and dependable Sous Chef with a minimum of five years of experience managing a kitchen. The right candidate will live within 30 minutes of zip code 07010, demonstrate strong leadership, uphold a “yes, Chef” attitude, and maintain professionalism, reliability, and consistency at all times.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a kitchen management role

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to take clear direction from the Executive Chef and execute efficiently

Proven reliability, consistency, and professional demeanor

Excellent organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks effectively

Pluses for this Position:

Background in kosher cuisine

Technologically proficient (ordering systems, spreadsheets, inventory management)

Understanding of food costs, yield, and profitability

Excellent at managing and minimizing food waste

Strong attention to organization, cleanliness, and efficiency

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Service 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

Sunday: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Service 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

Closed Friday and Saturday
