This is a general dentist, family practice, looking for a friendly and personable hygienist to join our practice.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
- Take and develop dental x-rays (Dexis/Opendental)
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, including proper sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with anatomy and oral health conditions
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy law
