Pharmacy Technician wanted for an independent pharmacy in Union city / Jersey city New Jersey.
Atleast 2 years of experience required.
Must have prior experience with MicroMerchant pharmacy management system.
Technician needs to be extremely organized, self-motivated, and follows through without prompting.
Strong customer service and social skills required.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bilingual (Spanish - English) Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities Include:
Receive, process and fill prescriptions with accuracy.
Communicate with doctors, patients and insurance companies.
Set up deliveries going out via delivery personnel.
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Provide patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Conduct intake assessments to gather necessary patient information for medication management.
Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards, including proper aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care in acute care settings.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare staff.
Keep accurate records of medication administration and inventory management.
Experience
Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required
Customer service experience is a plus.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient care and service.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in ( Spanish - English), for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
