My name is Sharon, I am a Nurse Navigator and Geriatric Wellness Expert. My office is in Hackensack, I serve a special segment of the population; the very busy professionals, top level executives and retired people who use to hold important positions.
My type of client has one big problem and that is why I am posting here today. Their problem is that their lives are busy and they don’t have enough time to care for their aging parents. For some of them, they have two generations in one home, meaning that they try to keep their parents but work pulls them away sometimes on short notice.
My role is to help them build a small team of two to three caregivers that they can work closely with and trust to help them once or twice a week for shifts that are as short as two hours or as long as twelve or twenty four hours.
