At Mālama Dental, we are passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate dental care in a welcoming and modern environment. We are currently seeking a motivated, dependable, and friendly Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
We are looking for a Dental Assistant who thrives in a patient-first, team-oriented setting. This role will primarily support clinical (back-end) functions, with some front desk duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control compliance
Take digital X-rays and impressions
Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
Support patients by making them comfortable and preparing them for procedures
Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties when necessary
Perform cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas and equipment
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and reorder as needed
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant certification preferred (or willing to train the right candidate)
Radiology license (a plus, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team-player mentality
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours available as the practice expands
