We are seeking a Building Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operations of our 10 unit garden apartment in Bergen County. This part time opportunity involves no salary, just a credit against monthly rent.
Responsibilities:
Take out trash and recycling
Ensure hallways, basements, common areas are clean and in good condition
Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and building entrances
Respond to tenant complaints or concerns and be the first point of contact.
Manage and supervise contractors for larger jobs (if needed) and Provide access to units for repairs or emergencies
Report larger issues to the building manager or property owner
Perform minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting)
Handle preventative maintenance (e.g., checking boilers, HVAC systems)
Help with rent collection or posting notices (depending on the property)
Be available or on-call for emergencies (e.g., flooding, power outage)
Shut off utilities in case of leaks or fires
