Seeking someone able to solder wires from 24ga to 12ga on various connector types and to attach connectors to various types of power cables. Specific experience not necessary but will be considered first. We can teach someone with some mechanical/technical skills how to solder and how to assemble various types of portable power cabling. Prior experience a big plus.
Work hours 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch, some possibility of half hour lunch and leaving 4:30. We are seeking someone that is serious, able to focus and stay focused and takes pride in their workmanship. We can teach you the rest. Must be on time. In addition to soldering and assembly, other duties at times can include reeling out and measuring/cutting cable, coiling cable, packing boxes with cabling, and general warehouse duties related to the cable assembly production done. We receive a sea container every 3 weeks and everyone is expected to jump in and help unload.
Relaxed atmosphere, little pressure (just do what you are supposed to and the rest is easy), it is all about quality work output. Most of the cables we assemble are power cables, and no tolerance for defects. This is an hourly position and at times may require working an hour or so later on some days. OT after 40 hours. You must be able to lift 60 pounds easily and know how to lift safely. Some of the cabling is heavy and the assembly team is who moves the cut pieces. Basic hand tool knowledge also necessary. A razor knife is used constantly for certain cable stripping and certain wire stripping tools and other hand tools.

Basic English is necessary. You must be able to communicate in basic English with co-workers and understand/take direction. Legal residents only. You must be able to get to work and back. There is a bus line that runs through Carlstadt on Rt 503 and drops off a few minutes away from us. We are open 52 weeks/year 5 days/week and closed for major holidays. A few times/year we ask our team to come in to complete an urgent order on a Saturday that has to ship Monday. It is not required, but when asked, it is for good reason. If you cannot make a few Saturdays (sometimes half days) please say so. It will not be held against you.
