Position description and Summary:
Our Delivery Drivers are responsible for the safe and secure delivery of licensed cannabis products from our location to our clients.Our Delivery Driversserve as an extension of ourextraordinary in-store customer service through customer interactions that are compassionate, genuine and respectful.This is a retail schedule, part-time experienced delivery driver opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle including tires, horn, lights, signals, surveillance system, point to point radio, inspection sticker and vehicle registration paperwork.
Accountable for immediatelyreporting any maintenance issues that may arise such as check engine lights, brake jobs, new tires, oil changes, windshield wiper blades, inspections, etc.
Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner byadhering to all local and state vehicle and traffic laws.
Maintain vehicles to operational standard - insure vacuumed, washed, clean interior and other incidentals.
Safe and secure handling of clientorders during deliveries.
Perform and participate in additional projects and priorities as needed.
Ensures client questions or concerns are resolved quickly and completely.
Communicate any requests or unresolved concerns to management immediately.
Accountable for accurately receiving, coordinating, and fulfilling client orders by utilizing our route optimization software and point to point radio system.
Adapts to varied sales volume and stays active by initiating continued learning activities, creating an engaging environment, and assisting in keeping the delivery vehicle and warehouse location properly stocked, clean, tidy, and in operating order, while keeping a “Client first” acuity.
Assist management staff in ensuring all procedures are being followed to reflect regulatory and compliance standards.
Fosters a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect, while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.
Frequently operates computer/POS system and other standard office equipment such as printers, cellphones and photocopy machines.
Constantly moves and transports cannabis products/totes up to 30 lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Clean drivers license.
Must be able to be fingerprinted.
Able to pass all background checks as required by state regulators to receive NJ State Cannabis Worker Identification.
Must maintain NJ State Cannabis Worker Identification.
Availability to work retail schedule that includes nights and weekends
Prior customer service experience in hospitality, pharmacy, customer services, or retail environment.
Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Ability to work as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
Legal Work Status in USA is required.
Education
High school diploma/GED required
2 year or 4 year college degree preferred
Cannabis training/certification is a plus
Experience
1-3 years working in retail, other customer service positions or delivery service. Cannabis experience is a plus.
