Higher end furniture retailer in search of strong, mature assistant for deliveries, loading & unloading trucks, keeping warehouse and showroom stocked and orderly as well as other general responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Light furniture assembly & repair
Loading and unloading trucks
Furniture delivery into customer’s homes, placement on showroom floor & in warehouse
Assist head driver with navigation, etc.
Building and property maintenance including sweeping, vacuuming, taking trash to dumpster, cleaning and maintaining warehouse, shop, showroom and delivery truck.
REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift and move furniture w/ assistance
Must be physically strong with no ailments like bad back, knees, etc.
Handy with simple hand tools and power tools
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Able to follow direction and instructions to do the job safely and properly
Good verbal communications skills, fluent English
Good customer service skills for direct interaction with customers and suppliers
Able to work outdoors for short periods in all weather
Mature, responsible, punctual and neat appearance. Non-smoker preferred
Phone use restricted to lunch breaks
HOURS AND PAY
$17.00/hour
Saturdays plus 2-4 weekdays. No evenings, No Sundays, No Mondays
Hourly pay includes paid 30 minute lunch break
Weekdays 9:30-5:30
Saturdays 9:00-5:00
