We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Team Leader/Foreperson to join our growing gardening company. This role is essential in managing and leading a team through the completion of high-end landscaping and garden installation projects. The ideal candidate can demonstrate their craftsmanship with a gallery of completed work. This is a hands-on opportunity, where you lead the team with your skill and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow specific instructions from the garden designer to execute precise garden layouts and designs
Lead and supervise a small team to complete landscaping and gardening projects with the highest attention to detail
Ensure all tools and vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use
Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials by hand, ensuring proper placement and care
Safely lift and move 80 lbs or more with team support while maintaining safety standards
Perform heavy grading and other physical tasks by hand, with a focus on accuracy and proper water flow
Oversee and assist with small paver and stone installations, ensuring precision and quality craftsmanship
Install and maintain drainage systems, ensuring correct pitch and effective water management
Maintain clean, organized job sites at all times, leaving areas spotless upon completion
Troubleshoot and resolve site issues efficiently while maintaining the highest work standards
Track project progress, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to specification
Assist in assessing and estimating costs for potential gardening projects
Interface directly with clients, offering expert guidance and maintaining a professional, pleasant demeanor
Foster cooperation and positive communication with clients, crew members, and stakeholders
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to follow and implement the garden designer’s instructions
Proven experience in landscaping, gardening, and hardscaping with strong attention to detail
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small team
Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials, including trees and stone (80 lbs or more)
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment
Professional, cooperative, and client-focused, always striving for excellence
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve while maintaining quality craftsmanship
Solid knowledge of drainage systems, water flow, and pitch for effective site management
Experience in paver and stonework, grading, planting, and physically demanding tasks
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and clean background check
