Title: House Manager & Meal Prep Assistant
Employment Type: Part-time (10–15 hours/week)
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Location: Bergen County, NJ (07647)
Compensation: $25–$30/hour
Schedule: Monday and Thursdays, flexible between 9am and 3pm
Requirements: Non-smoker, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, background check
About Our Family
We’re a busy, active family of four in Bergen County with two full time working parents and two boys (ages 10 and 5). We’re looking for a confident, capable partner to help keep our home running smoothly behind the scenes. This person is a natural problem-solver, highly proactive, experienced, and eager to take ownership of systems and tasks in the home. We see this person as an integral part of our team — someone who can step in so we can focus more on work and family time.

Key Responsibilities
Home Organization & Management
Tidy and reset rooms daily; keep high-traffic areas neat
Prepare the home for bi-weekly cleaning service
Oversee closet organization and clothing rotations (especially kids’ items)
Manage storage spaces (garage, basement, toy closets)
Handle seasonal tasks (bedding swaps, holiday prep, etc.)
Pack and unpack for travel; prep for family events or guests
Coordinate donation drop-offs/pickups
Coordinate with service providers (cleaners, handymen, landscapers, etc.)
Collaborate with executive assistant on gifts, schedules, and calendars
Inventory & Errands
Track and restock pantry, household, and cleaning supplies
Manage shopping lists and orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
Run errands: groceries, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
Handle packages, returns, and mail sorting
Meal Planning & Prep
Plan and prepare 2–3 healthy, simple family meals per week
Shop for groceries and meal-related items
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen after meal prep
Laundry & Linen Care
Wash, fold, and put away laundry (clothing, bedding, towels)
Iron and steam items as needed
Maintain clean and stocked laundry spaces
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
Occasionally deep clean appliances (fridge, freezer, oven)
Clean humidifiers and appliances monthly
Help with special organization projects as they arise
Transportation & Child Support (Minimal)
Occasional pick-ups (school/camp) using your own car (mileage reimbursed)
Prep backpacks, school snacks, or travel items for kids
Requirements
Must have reliable transportation (own vehicle preferred)
Able to work independently with minimal oversight
Experienced in managing households and organizing systems
Tech-comfortable (for shared calendars, task lists, etc.)
Non-smoker
Must pass background check
