We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of electrical systems and tools. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). The journeyman electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction sites. Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and submittals to determine layout and installation procedures.
Ensure compliance with NEC standards while performing all electrical work.
Conduct troubleshooting on electrical systems using a voltmeter and other diagnostic tools.
Work with control and low voltage systems.
Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Experience:
Proven experience as a journeyman electrician in both industrial and commercial settings, minimum of 5 years of experience required.
Strong knowledge of NEC, and OSHA safety practices is required.
Proficiency installing and bending EMT, rigid, and PVC raceway up to 4" is required.
Experience with 120/208V and 277/480V 3 phase systems, as well as low voltage systems is required.
Must be experienced in all phases of new and renovation commercial projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Requirements:
Must have own tools
NJ Driver's License and be able to drive throughout Northern and Central NJ reliable transportation is required
Must be available to work 1st and 2nd shift, non-negotiable.
Preferred to run small crew 2-5
Must have positive work attitude and disposition.
Must have good relation and communication skills.
