Local commercial cleaning company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Porter to join our team. The Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle various cleaning tasks and assist with minimal general maintenance duties.
Duties:
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility.
- Conduct custodial duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Engage in commercial cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning supplies effectively to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Experience with buffing machines and floor care processes.
- Strong understanding of custodial practices and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace consistently.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must have clean background
- Must have reliable transportation
Compensation and schedule:
- $18/hr with $1 raise after 3 months of satisfactory attendance and performance
- M/W/F evenings after 6pm (start time can be flexible)
- 2.5 hours per shift / 7.5 hours total a week
