Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines such as those found in lawnmowers, cut off saws, generators, and other outdoor power equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engines efficiently and accurately.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications.
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
Communicate effectively with shop manager.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts related to small engine repairs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Familiarity with small engine brands such as Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, etc.
Basic welding, hydraulic and electrical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Must have his/her own basic tools.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
Valid driver’s license Required.
Job Type: Full-time
