Property management firm seeking an experienced and dependable Live-in Superintendent to oversee daily operations and maintenance for our residential properties located in Bergen County, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.
Position Summary:
The Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the property. This includes performing hands-on maintenance duties, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily building operations and maintenance activities
Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
Supervise and coordinate outside contractors and vendors
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory, and supply management
Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety standards, and company policies
Provide excellent customer service to tenants and building occupants
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a superintendent, maintenance supervisor, or equivalent role
Strong knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Must be available for emergency calls as needed
