Job Title: Superintendent – Jersey City, NJ
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Building Superintendent to oversee two residential properties located at 35 & 50, totaling 85 units with 2 elevators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the buildings, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and fully functional.
Responsibilities:
General upkeep and cleanliness of the properties
Trash removal and common-area maintenance
Performing minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks
Coordinating and supervising contractors and vendors
Communicating with tenants and addressing concerns
Providing access for vendors and responding to emergency situations
Preparing and handling unit turnovers
Ensuring compliance with building safety and operational standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience as a superintendent, maintenance supervisor, or similar role
Strong knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Availability for emergency calls as needed
