Director of Catering Operations for Bareburger New Jersey

Growing franchise group in search of strong Director of Catering to continue growth and expand exposure in the Jersey markets.

The Director of Catering Operations is responsible to oversee the operations of the entire collection of Bareburger - New Jersey stores for all stores existing under the Bareburger NJ franchise group. This individual will work closely with the Regional Managers and be responsible for the financial results of the Catering department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

We are searching for an experienced Director of Catering Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit who is innovative, results driven and with a desire to exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional business acumen with attention to detail, forecast accuracy and budget preparation. This person will be focused on revenue generation with differentiating strategies. A leader and active member of the team, handling high profile catering and events and willing to roll-up their sleeves to make things happen.

Skills Needed:

Event Specialist - Ability to lead all aspects of event planning and execution including but not limited to: developing relationships with clients, schedule and lead client meetings, schedule and attend venue events, clearly communicate vision of events to key management persons, create event documents (BEO) with all pertinent event info, update event information on a continual basis, schedule staff for events, lead and train event staff in roles, & execute non-staffed and add on events.

Admin & Organization “ Attend weekly catering & focus meetings with the Franchise Owner and Regional Managers, complete tasks on master to-do list, keep and organize records of all parts of event booking and planning process for each event and client, manage vendor bookings and payments, assist in keeping event shelf and catering supplies organized, create and manage inventory check out and reorder log, assist in timely rental return and unpacking if left over from event, communicate outstanding items to management, create templates and spreadsheets for data entry and continued improvement of systems. Collect gratuity from client or management and disperse to event staff. Keep record of total gratuities earned and manage tips received log.

Booking & Payment - Successfully book new and returning clients. Follow organized step by step booking procedures from origin to completion of event and keep records of all items in booking and payment process.

Prepare quotes in a timely manner, adjust and send out catering contracts to clients, receive signed contracts, figure and receive deposits, send receipt of deposit, send receipt of paid in full, send follow up thank you email.

Must have 2+ years of experience in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications.
