Busy pottery studio in Montclair, NJ is looking for a reliable and hardworking Studio Tech to join our team! If you love clay, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and know your way around a kiln, this could be the perfect fit.
Main Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading electric kilns (bisque + glaze)
Mixing glazes and maintaining glaze buckets
Recycling clay and pugging
Keeping the studio clean, organized, and running smoothly
Details:
Part-time: 25-30 hours per week, flexible schedule
Starting pay: $20/hour
Experience with kiln operation, glaze chemistry, and clay recycling preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person
This is a physically active position and requires some heavy lifting. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a fast-paced (and fun!) environment.
