Cabinet Shop Assistant
We are looking for an assistant in a cabinet-making shop. Responsibilities include material preparation (for example, sanding), moving material and cabinets, light assembly, staining, cleaning (i.e., sweeping, dust removal, bathroom), and other general tasks as directed by the shop manager. May use some light hand tools such as drills. Depending on skills, may assist in operation of CNC machine. Cabinet-making experience not required, but general knowledge of tools and woodworking is required. Knowledge of CNC machine operation helpful. Job will require some physical exertion, including moving items weighing up to 150 pounds with hand trucks and dollies. Depending on skills, applicant may participate in installations at customer sites. We will train as necessary. Good attitude, willingness to follow directions and focus on working carefully is essential.
