Defense/Aerospace manufacturer of Cable Assemblies, Wire Harnesses and various types of electro-mechanical products is looking for a CNC Operator to work under guidance of our engineering department and machine shop to provide support to our manufacturing/production floor. In this position, you will use CNC Haas mills and CNC Haas lathe along with manual mills, lathes, and grinders to support production in making parts, fixtures and molds. In this role you will work closely with our engineering department and be willing to provide support for mechanical and molding processes for our cable manufacturing departments. You must be able to read and use the following: Manufacturing Work Instructions and Procedures, Mechanical Drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Candidate must be able to monitor machine cutting processes and measure parts for compliance with specifications
· Frequent use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, force gauges, durometers, torque wrenches)
· Candidate must be able to operate Haas machine controls
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
· Must have a High School diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating CNC machines
· Candidate must possess a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness and interest in learning
· Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Candidate must be reliable, conscientious and detail oriented
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
