Job Overview
Leader in Industrial Furnace Manufacturing looking for a Machine Design Estimator to join the team. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering design specifications, determining materials and labor costs, and facilitating company profitability. Ideal candidate will have proven track record in engineering or estimating in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Review customer specifications, technical drawings, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes based on specifications.
Utilize historical data and collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine estimates.
Collaborate with various departments, including production, purchasing, and finance, to ensure cost estimates align with organizational goals.
Ensure projects are profitable for the company and effective for use by the customer.
Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment.
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of our proposal and estimating tools and processes.
Experience
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost estimation preferred.
Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient working with MS Office, AutoCad, and ERP systems.
Experience in custom equipment machine designs.
5+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
Field of study: Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,803.00 - $82,002.00 per year

8 hour shift
estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
Bloomfield, NJ 07003 (onsite required)
