Prudent Publishing Company, Inc., Established in 1929 and leading manufacturer of premium quality paper products for the corporate marketplace known as The Gallery Collection, is seeking a bright, Production Planning Supervisor to join our Plant facility in Landing, NJ. As the Production Planning Supervisor your responsibilities will be to lead a 10 plus team in the areas of quality and production. Responsibilities will also include production planning scheduling, implementing policies and procedures and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Functions
Implement and maintain Production Planning schedule to ensure timely completion
Responsible for the stock and audit area
Track and organize KPIs for the manufacturing process
Develop production level plans to support mailing and promotions while maintaining exceptional levels of plant productivity
Coordinate with Inventory Control to maintain sufficient levels of inventory and ensure manufacturing efficiencies
Monitor and distributes product planning schedule requirements
Provide reports and requested information to management as needed
Coordinate root-cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and identify corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence
Directly reports to General Manager and works closely with plant management team
Qualifications
Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to use ERP systems within a production environment. Sage X3 ERP experience a plus
Proficiency in MS Office Suite with an emphasis in creating analytical and statistical reports using Excel functions (pivot tables, vlookup, hlookups, etc.)
Experience in process improvement initiatives
Responsible for testing all aspects of new product through our manufacturing work centers
Familiarity with helpdesk (Spiceworks) tools
Ensuring compliance with scheduling deadlines
Experience in working in a highly cross-functional organization
Organized self-starter who can work independently and as a team player
Integral part of big picture decision making with the Plant Management and Finance team.
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in inventory management/production planning and/or supply chain for manufacturing.
APICS or related certification a plus
Supervisory experience preferred
