Our team is the backbone of our success, and we are currently looking to expand our operations team with a skilled Dispatcher who is familiar with the intricacies of port operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling and dispatching of trucks to pick up and deliver loads to customers or vendors.
- Monitor the progress of deliveries, manage drivers' schedules, and communicate effectively with drivers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Understand and navigate the port systems (including Maher, PNCT, APM, Global, NYCT, etc.) efficiently to plan and optimize routes.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dispatcher in the trucking industry.
- In-depth understanding of the port systems mentioned (Maher, PNCT, APM, Global, NYCT, etc.) and how to effectively navigate their systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
Additional Information:
- This position is not eligible for remote work. Candidates must be prepared to work on-site.
