We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing routine financial tasks and providing support to ensure the smooth operation of our businesses, which include a restaurant and a food and wine importing company. The Financial Clerk will work under the supervision of senior management and will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
Process and record invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks.
Maintain and organize financial documents and records.
Perform data entry for financial reporting.
Assist in payroll preparation and distribution.
Support the preparation of financial reports as directed by management.
Perform general administrative duties related to financial operations.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
