Entry Level - Mortgage Loan Processor - $16 - $22 Per Hour

We are a small mortgage broker based in River Edge. We are seeking a full-time or part-time loan processor. No mortgage experience is required. You will work from home and all equipment (PC, Phone, Desk, Headset, etc) will be provided by the company. For the first 3 months of employment you may be required to visit the Brightwire Office in River Edge 1 day per week for training. This job is extremely flexible and may allow you to work early in the morning, late at night, and/or traditional 9am - 5pm hours. We are looking for either 1 full time employee or several part time employees to fill our need, so if you can only work part-time that is OK. Job Purpose

Guide borrowers through all phases of obtaining a residential mortgage loan (preapproval, disclosure, processing, underwriting, and closing).

Allow the sales team to focus on finding new clients instead of processing loan files.

Duties and responsibilities

Loan Processing

Gathering, Organizing, and Managing Confidential Client Documents

Reviewing, Analyzing, and Advising Clients about document deficiencies

Uploading, Emailing, Faxing, and Scanning documents

Data Entry – Utilizing loan software and web portals to accurately generate loan documents.

Meeting deadlines.

Communications

Develop professional relationships with borrowers, insurance agents, title companies, attorneys, realtors, and underwriters through verbal (telephone) communication. You will need to communicate effectively regarding the items that are needed to complete their preapproval or to close their loan.

Draft written communications (email) with clients, insurance agents, title companies, attorneys, realtors, and underwriters.

Training and Compliance

Complete in-house and external professional development courses.

Learn new software, procedures, and programs.

You may be required to attend meetings with clients, referral sources, and networking events, to maximize your knowledge level and industry experience.

Job Requirements

Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Professional experience operating a Windows PC.

Expert at prioritizing and managing numerous “urgent” tasks simultaneously.

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are mandatory.

Willingness and capability to competently answer all phone calls from existing clients, prospective clients, realtors, attorneys, title companies, CPA’s, insurance agents, etc.

Ability to learn, take notes, and retain knowledge from company training courses.

Ability and desire to understand “what, how, when, and why” for all processes (not just how).

Genuine, cheerful, and friendly personality.
