We are a handmade jewelry company based in West Nyack and attend numerous arts and crafts shows across the northeast throughout the year. We are looking for an experienced salesperson who is able to travel and work weekends. The job is starting immediately, and we are offering full or part time work.
What we are looking for:
-EXCELLENT sales capability. We are looking to add to our team a person who is energetic, engaging, and enjoys actively selling. Our ideal candidate truly enjoys talking to people, and can easily carry a conversation and make customers feel comfortable.
-Travel, mostly on weekends. You must be available to work at least 2 weekends a month, Friday - Monday (the exact days depends on the show). Most shows are far enough away that a hotel room is provided for the duration of the show. Additional work is available at the studio during the week, if you choose to work full time - please let us know any other skills you have, including but not limited to photography, jewelry making, design, computers, etc.
-You must have a valid drivers license
-Able to handle to booth setup. This is about 3-4 hours of moderate physical labor/lifting.
Compensation:
The position starts at $15-$17/hour, dependent on your selling results.
Bonus for high sales, ranging from $50, $100, $200, depending on the show and your sales (for a 2-3 day show)
Two weeks paid vacation each year for the first two years, and an additional week each year up to four weeks.
Year end bonus which increases the longer you are with the company.
