We are seeking a Licensed Optician or experienced Optical Manager to lead our optical operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a patient-centered environment and enjoys combining clinical precision with retail excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily optical operations, including frame and lens selection, patient fittings, and Rx-lens order accuracy
Deliver a consultative sales experience focused on patient education, needs-based recommendations, and premium product adoption
Maintain vendor relationships, manage cost of goods, and ensure profitability through effective inventory and pricing management
Collaborate with the optometry team to ensure seamless patient care from exam to eyewear dispense
Train, mentor, and motivate optical staff to provide consistent, high-quality service
Ensure compliance with state licensure standards and insurance billing procedures
Oversee adjustments, repairs, and warranty services to uphold patient satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
Active New Jersey Optician License (preferred) or a minimum of 3 years of optical management experience
Strong understanding of ophthalmic lens designs, materials, coatings, and managed vision care plans
Proven track record in optical sales, staff development, and operational management
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to patient satisfaction
Proficiency with optical practice management software (Crystal PM experience a plus)
