My partner and I already own successful companies in cybersecurity and network support. Now, we’re launching a separate smart home company to serve Bergen County and New York City.
This venture will be built from scratch, and you will be responsible for day-to-day service calls and for building the tech team. Don’t worry about the back office—we have that fully covered. You will be an owner. For the first couple of years, you’ll need to live on profit-sharing while building the business (just as we did with our other companies). We’re not dreamers—we’re makers. You need to bring that same mindset and energy. Unlike working for someone else, here you’ll keep a significant share of what you produce.
This opportunity is not for everyone. In fact, it’s not for 98% of people. It’s for the 2% who are makers, entrepreneurs, do-what-it-takes types, forward-thinking geeks. My partner and I are seasoned tech entrepreneurs with more than 50 years of combined experience.
For the right person, this means double-digit ownership in a company that could be worth millions within 10 years—and within 5 years should already provide a livable income on top of equity. Why bring in a partner? Because we’re already fully engaged with our other businesses, but we clearly see the future value of smart home technology. The timing is right, and even some of our existing employees (such as our marketing team) are eager to expand beyond cybersecurity.
Your only investment is time. You must be able to sustain yourself while we build. We’ll handle the rest: team, truck, tools, brand, uniforms, insurance, legal, accounting—the full infrastructure. What we need from you is commitment and effort. (Otherwise, you’d simply be an employee, not an equity holder.)
