GENERAL DUTIES
Under supervision, performs routine microbiological testing. Analyzes test data and evaluates results against established specifications. Determines samples requiring additional testing at external laboratories and arranges external testing. Monitors supplier for the microbiology lab and orders supplies as required. Prepares reports on findings and makes recommendations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
ï· In accordance with established procedures, performs a variety of routine analyses and technical procedures that require the use of advanced techniques, equipment and instrumentation specific to assigned laboratory and the area supported.
ï· Processes samples for examination.
ï· Makes and records observations, performs calculations, collects and prepares data for an evaluation. Keeps supervisor informed of status work, atypical results and any problems encountered.
ï· Reports results of assigned procedures and maintains related records.
ï· Performs all technical and record keeping duties in conformance with all applicable company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements, standard operating procedures, good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices and safety and health requirements as applicable.
SUCCESS PROFILE
Education :
BS in Biological Sciences (Microbiology preferred) or equivalent experience
Related skills to HSE and Food Safety
