Cabling Technician / Camera Installer / Access Control Technician

A leading physical security and cabling company based in New Jersey, is seeking a skilled and experienced Cabling Technician / Camera Installer / Access Control Technician / to join our team. We specialize in providing cutting-edge physical security solutions, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and structured cabling, to our clients in various industries, such as Government, commercial and industrial.

Responsibilities:

Perform cabling and wiring tasks, including pulling, routing, terminating, and testing various types of cables, such as coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.

Install and configure CCTV cameras, access control systems, and related physical security equipment at client sites in New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with physical security equipment and cabling infrastructure, and provide timely and effective solutions.

Collaborate with project managers, other technicians, and clients to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.

Follow industry best practices, safety guidelines, and company policies and procedures while working on job sites.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job, and submit reports to the supervisor as required.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physical security technology, industry trends, and relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and configuring CCTV cameras, access control systems, low voltage wiring and related physical security equipment.

Strong knowledge of cabling standards, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.

Familiarity with IP-based security systems and networking concepts.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.
