The Construction Bid and Project Coordinator plays a key role in assisting in gathering all necessary information to present to estimators to bid a project, supporting project planning, execution, and coordination. This position is responsible for analyzing and monitoring architectural and engineering drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy and feasibility. The role includes aiding in project bidding, preparation and execution.
Identify the required types of materials/products and perform precise quantity calculations for procurement process
Preparing proposals
Demonstrated ability to organize an entire project scope
Assist in Reviewing Contracts for required information as specified
Must be able to read & understand contract documents (i.e. plans & specifications)
Responsible for developing & maintaining professional & productive relationships with owner(s), design professionals, inspectors, our self-performance crew(s), subcontractors, and material supplier
Develop construction schedules and work with project superintendent to ensure that all field work is undertaken safely and that the project deadlines are achieved
Oversee construction project progress
Responsible for budgeting, organizing, and scheduling
Project buyout, control costs, and budgetary performance
Solicit quotes and negotiate contracts
Plans to prevent problems, identity emerging issues, and mitigate risks
Develop and maintain construction project schedules, reports, RFI logs, change order requests, and submittal logs
Review and process change order requests, submittals, vendor/contractor pay requests, and RFI’s
weekly progress meetings with construction team and regularly scheduled owner meetings
Initial startup of new and ongoing jobs
Prepare subcontractors agreement- maintain and request for subcontractor certificate of insurance, classification, and certification information
Renew and prepare permits and close out permits
