Nextgen Electric is a full-service electrical contracting, service, and maintenance company headquartered in Fairfield, NJ. Established in 2010, Nextgen Electric has built an excellent reputation by producing quality work and providing professional, reliable service. Our projects and accounts are mainly commercial, industrial, and public. Residential work encompasses approximately 25% of our clientele.
We are seeking to fill multiple positions, all candidates with applicable experience are welcome to apply. Candidates with 5+ years of experience will be prioritized. Candidates with supervisory experience are desired; as well as, heavy fire alarm, service, and project management experience.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a Technical School/Journeyman Program is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites is necessary. Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
- Our office is located in Fairfield and our service area encompasses predominantly North and Central New Jersey, with occasional projects in South Jersey. Candidates should consider this and their commute when applying. Individuals located within one hour from our office will be prioritized.
- Due to the nature of the position, potential candidates must be able to lift over 50 pounds, work on their feet, and expect strenuous tasks when on duty.
Schedule
- This position is to be Full-Time, generally 40 base-hours weekly, with occasional Over-Time opportunities available after hours and on weekends. Over-Time is optional, but 30 minutes to one hour overtime to complete projects is common and to be occasionally expected.
- Standard working hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm M-F.

- Employees are provided with Fleet cards for gas and employees in supervisory roles are provided with company cellphones.
- Commission monies are paid to any employees who source projects/refer work to our firm!
- Our shop is located in a professional office building providing ample parking and direct access to Route 46.
