Long standing reputable container drayage based carrier seeks an EXPERIENCED dispatcher to step into important position within our company. Candidate must have trucking and drayage dispatch experience including knowledge of imports and exports, local piers, equipment types as well as experience. Portpro experience is a plus.
Duties include but not limited to:
Efficient routing, plotting and planning assignments
Tracking and tracing equipment and reading yard checks to minimize demurrage, per diem and accountability
Setting pickup and return appointments with terminals and clients at the final mile
Coordinating pickup and return of containers with terminals
Working closely with other teammates and customer service team to collaborate and see orders through
Communicating with operations and drivers throughout the day to monitor progress, be alerted and assist in various issues
Being a leader for the team as well as the driversr
Candidate should care about their career and our company. Reliability, being team oriented, on point and ability to multi task come to mind. Experience is required for this role.
