We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates will have experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, and possess the ability to handle heavy lifting. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate a car, SUV, cargo van, box truck, or similar vehicle for deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as needed.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus. Felons are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
