Description We are searching for an AP Specialist to be a part of our client's team in Sayreville, NJ area. The position will be based in Lakewood, New Jersey. The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing all facets of the accounts payable process, maintaining vendor relationships, and utilizing accounting software for transactions. Responsibilities Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices through Yardi software, adhering to company policies. Prepare and execute payments, including checks and electronic transfers, while maintaining cash flow. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries and maintain positive relationships. Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers and vendor statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations and tax requirements. Collaborate with property managers, accounting team members, and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function and contribute to the implementation of best practices. Utilize various software systems, including 'Account Coding', 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'Concur', 'ERP Solutions', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Auditing', 'Billing Functions' for efficient work operations.Requirements Proficiency in account coding Experience with accounting software systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Ability to utilize Concur effectively Knowledge of ERP Solutions Expertise in accounting functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Background in auditing procedures Ability to handle billing functions effectively Must have relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in the Real Estate & Property industry.
