We’re Hiring! Position: Enthusiastic Gallery & Art Instructor Assistant

About Us: Sutherland Arts Studio and Gallery is a vibrant, community-focused art studio and gallery offering a range of creative classes and art gallery events. We aim to inspire creativity, nurture talent, and create a welcoming space for artists of all ages to thrive. We’re seeking an enthusiastic artist with a passion for teaching and sharing their love of art with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with covering gallery operating hours.
-Assist with preparing for hands-on art classes for children, teens, and/or adults in mediums such as painting, drawing or mixed media.
- Assist with lesson plans that encourage creativity and cater to different skill levels.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and foster a supportive art environment.
- Assist with helping to organize art activities, projects, and demonstrations that align with the studio’s curriculum.
- Assist with a positive, energetic, and professional atmosphere during all classes.
- Respond to Alerts and Notifications in a timely manner.
-Assist with studio events such as exhibitions, open studios, and community art programs.
Qualifications:
- Art experience
- Interested in gallery art help
- Passionate about art and teaching
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with people of all ages.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and able to take directions as an assistant.
